Located within a converted Northbridge building, the project transformed an existing tenancy into a contemporary hospitality venue.
The project centred on revealing the character of the original building.
Layers of later alteration were carefully removed to expose the brickwork and structural fabric concealed beneath, allowing the history of the building to become a defining feature of the finished space. Existing elements were retained wherever possible and integrated with a new hospitality environment informed by the communal energy of traditional mess halls and warehouse-style dining.

Working within an existing structure required careful planning throughout. New kitchen infrastructure, mechanical services and hospitality requirements were incorporated within the constraints of the existing building fabric while maintaining the integrity of the original structure. Particular care was also taken to minimise disruption to the architectural practice operating above the tenancy, which remained operational throughout the works.
